Home Energy Audits in Tucson & Southern Arizona

A home energy audit is a hands-on look at how your home uses and loses energy. Instead of guessing, we use diagnostic equipment to measure how much air leaks into and out of the house, how well your ductwork holds the air your system works so hard to cool or heat, and whether insulation and air sealing are doing their job.

In the Arizona heat, small gaps add up. Hot attic air pulled into the living space, or cooled air leaking out of ducts into the attic, makes your AC run longer and can leave you less comfortable. An audit shows you where those problems are.

Blower door testing. We fit a calibrated fan into an exterior doorway and gently depressurize the house. This measures whole-house air leakage and helps us find where outside air is sneaking in, around attic hatches, recessed lights, plumbing and wiring penetrations, windows and doors.

Duct leakage testing. Using a duct testing system, we measure how much air escapes from your supply and return ducts. Leaky ducts can waste cooling, pull in dusty attic air, and leave some rooms warmer than others.

Insulation and air sealing checks. We look at attic insulation coverage and depth, and check common trouble spots where air sealing is missing or has failed over time.

When we're done, you'll know what we measured, what it means, and which improvements are worth talking to a contractor about.
